Nickel Creek played an intimate warmup show at Largo at the Coronet for a lucky crowd Wednesday that piled into the L.A. theater for a night of skillful, spellbinding folk music.

Rolling Stone took in her recent set at West Hollywood’s Largo at the Coronet Theater and characterized her means of addressing her part in her show’s downfall as “processing,” including copping to being an immature boss who “didn’t know how to be a boss.”

Two years after “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” aired its final episode in 2022, its 66-year-old host re-entered the spotlight with a Thursday night set at Largo at the Coronet Theatre.

When their sister, Mary, tried to break it up, she “nearly had her coronet knocked flying by the fractious pair.”
