Cables have been laid within existing water pipes, using the islands community-owned water system, enabling full fibre broadband to almost all properties.

The trust took possession of the five-story building in March, but high levels of the bug were discovered in water pipes a month later after a four-week operating exercise.

In a statement, the trust said the repairs would include replacing water pipes.

In recent months, Cogat co-ordinated the restoration of water wells and desalination facilities, as well as the extension of water pipes in Gaza, according to its statement.

The earthquake caused a water pipe to burst at Pasadena City Hall, where water leaked for about an hour before it was turned off, city spokesperson Lisa Derderian said.
