A child dies from a television tipover every three weeks and hundreds are injured.

When I’ve seen patients in the ED after a tipover, I often hear caregivers say it happened when the child was supposed to be napping or playing, and that the caregiver didn’t even hear it happen.

The firm has said that as well as these two incidents, it has received three other reports of "tipover" fatalities since 1989 involving other models of Ikea chests and units.
