Riesling

At the first of the two new homes, 138 Riesling Drive, visitors are met by a large entranceway with 4-foot-wide halls leading to a four-car garage with ample room for cars and recreational toys.

On the side, the Fellowship created a famed winery whose lists of honors and accolades for its Cabernet Sauvignons, Sauvignon Blancs and Riesling span pages.

During a lunch of snapper at Arnaud’s, an old friend from Knoxville orders a bottle of German Riesling because it’s a bit sweeter than French whites, “which can double as window cleaner.”

Riesling follows for a light meal or first course, and then, when the big hunk of meat comes off the grill, it’s time for a bold red.

“There’s a lot of premium sparkling wine in the pipeline,” he said as he poured me some 2019 Riesling Nature bubbly.
