"At college, I can't go to see the therapist we have on campus to have a chat, I can't go into the library and use all these online resources, I'm not doing all these modules on subjects in the detail we are getting at uni," he says.

"That first win proved it could be done. A lot of people want to go to see women racing now and people realise they have similar abilities," she said.

“Sometimes people go to see a comedian who has these views and it’s well known. They’re kind of opting in for that experience,” Soward said.

As an industry, “we need to give audiences a terrific experience every time they go to see a movie,” said Tony Chambers, executive vice president and head of theatrical distribution for Walt Disney Studios.
