Action hero Scott Adkins has been busy — he has made four films since chatting a year ago about his action flick "Avengement."

“Avengement”: Director Jesse V. Johnson and martial artist Scott Adkins remix the old B-movie formulas with this bruising thriller, told mostly in flashback at a pub full of thugs, as an angry escaped convict explains how he became so dangerous.

“Avengement” is different from what I’ve done before and we’ve figured out how to keep my core base interested.

But the actor and martial artist is poised for a breakout as his latest film “Avengement” hits theaters and VOD May 24.

That was what was great about the idea for “Avengement.”
