Over two decades ago, researchers spotted a mysterious sea slug swimming more than 8,000 feet deep in the Monterey Bay.

Over the past 20 years, the team has used the institute’s underwater technology to gather more information on the sea slug.

Eventually, they were able to more closely examine the animal in the lab and confirmed it was a nudribranch, also known as a sea slug, according to the release.

David McDowall, boss of Stonegate Group, whose pubs include Slug & Lettuce, Yates's and Walkabout, said thousands of landlords currently make just 12p of profit for every pint of beer they sell.

More than 100 public venues - from McDonald's to the Slug & Lettuce chain - have signed a letter backing the bill.
