Reno-based photographer Dan Dunn captured the firefall in what he described as one of his “greatest images” in February 2019, the final of six consecutive trips he began in 2014.

The album’s lyrics are largely inspired by Yoakam’s life as a family man and husband — he and his wife, Emily, a photographer, married in 2020.

Another older brother, Vincent, was a photographer and football coach, and younger brother Michael served several terms in the Massachusetts Legislature.

Guadalupe Ramirez, a commercial photographer, sits on one of the corner couches and takes it all in.

“I am trying to plan a good future so that after I get prosthetics, I can work hard and excel to become a famous photographer,” he says.
