At the same time, a hīkoi - or peaceful protest march - organised by a Māori rights group is continuing to make its way towards the capital, Wellington.

He said Jehovah's Witnesses were very peaceful.

“People just don't go zipping through the station. It’s big and it's peaceful,” he says.

The election campaign has been largely peaceful with no reports of poll-related deaths or large scale misuse of government resources.
