The parade winds up with an appearance by the jolly old elf, Santa Claus, and his reindeer.

He realized the impish elf had become a runaway success when “one day my parents asked me for a Labubu doll,” he said.

And later somebody calls him ‘grand elf.’

His long career also included providing the voice for Wise Old Elf and Mr Gnome for Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom, shown in the UK on Channel 5.

Sometimes Dressback would slip on a wig or costume — Santa, Minion, astronaut, among others; before winter breaks she donned an elf outfit and climbed atop the brick marquee in front of the school to the delight of arriving children and passing cars.
