Entire shifts of employees at fast-food restaurants, amusement parks and airports are walking off their jobs, pasting handwritten notes on the doors that say we quit.

The impression is not unlike that of an amusement park, or sitting through those scenes in Harry Potter movies, in which human figures in paintings are made to seem alive, changing their facial expressions or walking in and out of their frames.

They remain lifelong friends with their fellow “Milts,” as alums and students call themselves, and look back fondly on weekend trips to amusement parks or the Baltimore waterfront.

Money Hungry, Ben & Jerry’s, The Globe, Tiny Food Fight, and the one where chocolate makers have to run around an abandoned amusement park in the middle of the night are indeed real shows.

It’s like a miniature amusement park or a home-sized movie studio.
