Two Metropolitan Police officers are under criminal investigation after a pregnant woman and her baby died in a collision with an unmarked police car in south-east London.

For decades, it lay in an unmarked grave in the UN cemetery in Busan, on Korea’s south coast, adorned with the plaque ‘Member of the British Army, known unto God’.

Two officers who were in the unmarked car were also taken to hospital following the collision, and have since been discharged.

An investigation in 2010 found 31 unmarked graves of pupils whose deaths had not been recorded, and many more have been discovered by other investigations in the years since.

The court heard that officers in an unmarked parked police vehicle spotted the Audi Q in Camberwell, south London, and began following it.
