In a town hall last year sponsored by News Nation, Kennedy complained that “experts” often end up on opposite sides of a debate, which he took as an indication that they shouldn’t be believed.

When a Times reporter informed her Monday of the district’s change of heart, she said she was “pleased” the district had apparently heard and responded to stakeholders’ concerns during the town hall.

City officials are working to put together a town hall in the coming days to determine next steps for repopulating the evacuated neighborhoods.

There will also be a public performance in Portadown town hall.

After all the speeches and mail pieces, all the TV ads, the debates, town halls, prime-time interviews, impromptu statements and hasty clarifications, it’s finally voters’ turn to have their say.
