When a Times reporter informed her Monday of the district’s change of heart, she said she was “pleased” the district had apparently heard and responded to stakeholders’ concerns during the town hall.

“These failures took place on my watch as CEO and I apologize to all our stakeholders.”

“The next steps announced today are difficult but necessary actions to protect the best interests of our stakeholders,” Executive Chairman Rohit Manocha said in a statement.

"Public information on major events including traffic management, transport and public safety advice is often available on the Garda website, Dublin City Council website and from other relevant stakeholders," they added.
