Spread over three huge galleries, the production’s centerpiece is a 35-minute film loop by video scenographer Massimiliano Siccardi, who creates video for choreographers, arts festivals and galas.

As realized by the scenographer Kristen Robinson and the video designer Stivo Arnoczy, the live image is multiplied and kaleidoscoped into compositions that resemble Byzantine altar pieces with their formal framing and visual echoes.

The interiors, honed with van Looij and the help of Graanmarkt’s artistic director, the scenographer Bob Verhelst, have the same spare aesthetic that reigns in the store.

The exhibition will be designed by the scenographer Jan Versweyveld, who also created David Bowie’s “Lazarus.”

She will direct, in great part, the movable embellishments of the museum, upon occasion of this great fete; and although the scenographer Jan Versweyveld will design the exhibit itself, it will be Wintour’s guiding taste that will give character to the masqueraders.
