Yamamoto left his next start early because of a rotator cuff strain and did not return until September.

After missing almost three months with a strained rotator cuff in his right pitching shoulder, Yamamoto couldn’t have been more impressive in his long-awaited return.

Yamamoto’s start on Tuesday will be his first since suffering a strained rotator cuff on June 15.

He could return from his strained rotator cuff as soon as the team’s next homestand.

That puts Yamamoto — who was 6-2 with a 2.92 ERA before suffering a strained rotator cuff — on track for a mid-September return.
