Arguing for Facebook, which had succeeded in getting the state lawsuit thrown out, Aaron Panner argued that the two acquisitions were well-publicized at the same, as was the company's policies regarding third-party apps.

Panner said some of his tech cohort had reservations about Amazon collecting more than $2.4 billion in government incentives from Virginia, New York and Tennessee, where it intends to create new work centers.

Amazon “is going to bring more people and potentially more inflated salaries,” Panner said.

“People do worry about the cost of talent,” Panner said.
