By banning alcohol at strip clubs, Washington is upholding a public policy that tells patrons to get drunk before arriving, absent any of the basic safety requirements that protect against overserving at your neighborhood bar.

Stenson believed in the power of the neighborhood bar.

“A neighborhood bar. A bowling alley. A Halloween party. It seems we can’t go one day without a mass shooting in America,” said Kris Brown, president of Brady, a gun violence prevention group.
