A woman has told a court her brother arrived at her home with a gun and murdered her husband.

The murder of Samuel Paty, 47, shocked France and came five years after militant Islamist gunmen murdered 12 people at the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo which published the original cartoons.

“When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here,” he said.

“It’s not. Really, we have no choice when people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries. And now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here.”

Three-quarters of Jewish people in the Netherlands were murdered during the Holocaust in World War Two.
