Dame Christine says ministers and Ofsted should learn from the Camden project, as well as similar work under way in Sheffield and Milton Keynes.

"I'm incredibly grateful to Rhianon working with the force. It's important we don't only look at academic work, but lived experience and learn from that," she said.

She is a veteran kindergarten teacher who is sharp enough to train a new generation of educators, but also wise enough to know that she can learn from them as well.
