Sinema sounds less like McCain than Groucho Marx in “Horse Feathers”:

Jan. 1-4 and 6 Marx Brothers double bill: “Duck Soup” with “Horse Feathers,” 7:30 p.m.

Even in the anarchic heyday of the Marx brothers at Paramount Pictures, when they turned out vaudevillian free-for-alls such as Horse Feathers and Duck Soup, or Mel Brooks parodies like Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein, audiences had never encountered the sheer volume of gags that hit them in Airplane!, which are so relentless that the bad ones don’t have time to develop an odor.

That’s followed at at 6:30 by 1932’s “Horse Feathers”; 1930’s “Animal Crackers” at 7:45 and 1933’s “Duck Soup” at 9:30.

It irked me that none of the writers mentioned the 1932 Marx Brothers’ classic college football movie, “Horse Feathers.”
