House investigators have been digging into the Biden family’s overseas businesses and secured the FBI document after a period of wrangling with FBI Director Christopher A. Wray, whom they threatened to hold in contempt of Congress.

“They have made clear that they consider themselves to be at war with the institution of monarchy, an institution that they appear to hold in contempt.”

The House has voted four times to hold in contempt of Congress allies of Mr. Trump who refused to testify or supply documents.

Mr. Bannon is one of four witnesses the committee has moved to hold in contempt of Congress for failing to cooperate with its probe.

Lawmakers on the Jan. 6 committee had publicly and privately expressed frustrations with the delay in Attorney General Merrick Garland’s decision process, particularly with regards to Meadows, whom the House voted to hold in contempt in December of last year.
