In the past year there's been a lot of talk about the lack of trust in science and the need to distinguish legitimate research from misinformation, disinformation, and other forms of fallaciousness.

Mitch Daniels wrote in his Dec. 27 Thursday Opinion commentary, “Things aren’t as bad as we think,” about the fallaciousness of many negative predictions about the future and the corresponding value of positivity.

Just as Russia’s subsequent actions displayed the fallaciousness of the Sochi Olympic themes of peace and international community, a D.C. bid based on its example of democracy and freedom is hypocritical at best.

It is obvious that these impressions will vary from individual to individual and that any attempt to formulate them would expose their fallaciousness.

To us, however, the log-slate was a source of great amusement on account of its utter fallaciousness.
