excurse

Excurse′, to digress; Excur′sionise, to go on an excursion.—n.

The fast-declining Sun, and my wearied  limbs here reminded me that I was the slave of nature, and of nature’s laws; and that I had neither time, nor power, to excurse or go farther.

But how I excurse!—Yet thou usedst to say, thou likedst my excursions.
