Currently, most satellite operators have to downlink all their collected data and do most of the computing work on Earth.

The ground-based method, known as downlink jamming, transmits a signal on the same frequency as the satellite, which prevents connected devices from receiving the legitimate signal.

High-powered jammers on the ground or placed on balloons can disrupt both uplink and downlink signals from drones.
