The president and vice president of the Atlantic City Board of Education did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment Monday.

Megan Green, president of the St. Louis City board of aldermen, said that Ms. Bush has been attuned to the city’s needs.

Section 49.5.11 of the city’s ethics ordinance states: “Except at a public meeting, a member of a City board or commission shall not participate in the development, review, evaluation, or negotiation of or the recommendation process for bids, proposals, or any other requests for the award or termination of a contract, amendment, or change order involving that board, commission, or agency.”

The couple are Norwich City joint majority shareholders alongside Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio, who first joined the Norwich City board in September 2021.

The city Board of Correction also found that the water supply for the sprinkler system serving the affected jail unit had been shut off for at least a year and that jail staff had failed to conduct the required weekly and monthly fire safety audits for at least as long.
