Nevada has attracted its fair share of canvassers from neighbouring California, where the Democrats are all but certain to win.

In addition to the presidential candidates’ omnipresence, voters in the state are bombarded by mailers, ads on television, radio and social media, and canvassers knocking on their doors.

And canvassers like me, the phalanx from 1199 SEIU, made sure that every voter we spoke to knew how to cast their votes early or by mail.

Among Democrats who contacted canvassers, most said that they planned to vote on Election Day and there was a sense of cautious optimism they expressed that they would be able to win back the seat.

In Minnesota, cash will help canvassers maintain the Democratic trifecta in that state.
