Recent research has focused on the association of “negative affectivity” traits, such as depression, anxiety, and anger, with heart disease.

In a section of the synod outline called “the body, affectivity and sexuality,” reports the Catholic Reporter, “It states: ‘Sociological studies demonstrate that many young Catholics do not follow the indications of the Church’s sexual moral teachings.
