Hydrocystoma is a cystic affection of the sweat-gland ducts, seated upon the face.

A boil is an inflammatory formation having its starting point in a sebaceous-gland, sweat-gland, or hair-follicle.

During this time it is not buried in the skin but is able to retreat rapidly into it through a hair follicle or sweat gland.

This principle holds good for every particle of sweat that reaches the mouth of a sweat gland.

In this knot are a great many fine blood vessels, so that each sweat gland has an abundant blood supply.
