Almost hidden in a mocha pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt, and wearing those same fire-red Air Jordans from his Aug. 4 return to Los Angeles, Clippers royalty Chris Paul adorned the Sparks’ bench.

But while the drinks themselves are largely just hyper-customized takes on existing beverages, the names suggest a branding effort that leans hard into engineered whimsy: Cookies On Top, Dragonfruit Glow-Up, Just Add White Mocha and Lemon Tea & Pearls.

And there are resources for people in the deported person’s network who are willing to take on the responsibility for their pets, like 2-year-old Mocha, a female chocolate Labrador retriever who was brought in to the county’s Baldwin Park shelter in late June and is ready for adoption.

On the sweet front, there are offerings like the vanilla ice cream sundae, chocolate ice cream cup and cold brew mocha freeze — sweet treats that aren’t overly fancy.

They have a good mocha there, and the lavender lemonade is really good.
