In the blunt words of Document 19, “Marxism is incompatible with any theistic worldview,” an obstacle to socialism’s putatively “brilliant future.”

Unlike Marxism or reform liberalism, it has no systematic ideological program; rather, it is a set of dispositions and attitudes.

Of course conservatives complained about all this constantly and at great length, and sporadically tried to organize boycotts or other counterattacks against such shibboleths as “affirmative action,” “political correctness,” “multiculturalism” and “cultural Marxism.”

He’s a strong proponent of the conspiracy theory of “cultural Marxism,” a framework that argues young people are turned toward Marxist ideas by college professors and pop culture.

America is delivered from Marxism, as the president seizes dictatorial power and proclaims, “America becomes America again.”
