Groups of volunteers have been packing and organising supplies for those affected, including clothing and hygiene products.

Left out are nursing, physical therapy, dental hygiene, occupational therapy and social work — as well as fields outside of healthcare such as architecture, education, and accounting.

Poor dental hygiene can led to tooth decay and gum infections, which can lead to tooth loss and gum disease.

Opening windows where possible and practising good hygiene - using and then binning a tissue for coughs and sneezes and washing your hands - can help prevent this.
