Since he couldn’t open his own account when he was 15, Kevin Hu gave the cash he made from lawn mowing and other summer jobs at the time to his parents and told them which stocks to buy for him.

“They just want me to go to school and have a stable career,” says Hu, a senior at the University of British Columbia studying business and computer science.

Hu is weighing leaving school to focus on his tech startup.

Hu Xijin, former editor-in-chief of the state-run Global Times, in March called action against RFA "truly gratifying."

“I’m really out of my element here, especially in terms of the fabrics,” said Kayla Hu, a microbiologist from London, Ontario, who has spent much of her maternity leave fashioning gold buttons out of clay and adding structure to the shoulder pads of her daughter’s costume.
